Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is battery only. If you are worried about running out of power you should consider a model that has 2 batteries. The unit has a place for a spare so i run the first one you and swap them when the battery is drained. Also be aware that there isn’t a warning before it runs out of juice.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. There isn't a slot for it. For battery life, I have a "typical Midwest subdivision" sized driveway, and the battery has about 30% remaining when I'm done. The battery charges in about 1 hour when it's inside the house. It takes a lot longer when it's in a cold area like a garage. I did buy an additional battery, and it's nice that I can have one battery plugged into the unit and another waiting to be swapped in just waiting in the same battery compartment on the snowblower itself.
