It does vibrate like all get-out (we have ours in a bathroom abutting my office and several books have fallen off bookshelves), so I'd recommend a "shock absorber" system of some sort--probably with some insulation surrounding the unit or some such thing. Or leaving extra space (not much more than a few inches) would probably negate that situation.
