    Asked by abc.

    • Answer Hi there, thanks for reaching out! There will be some noise from the unit while it's running as it has a motor that is pulling air from the room. As of February 2020, we use a third party (AHAM) to certify hoods for CFMs and Sones. The California Energy Commision approved AHAM's rating program as equivalent to HVI's Certification rating program. In effect, both the AHAM listing and HVI listing meet Title 24 requirements. Therefore, GE Appliances now uses AHAM to comply with California's Title 24 requirements. Both these programs were created to provide a fair and credible method of comparing ventilation performance of similar products. You can learn more at the following link: https://www.aham.org/AHAM - We hope this helps! Best wishes. -Michael@Haier
