Thank you for your feedback and question! If the unit is not evaporating properly, then water will build up and you may start noticing water being sprayed into the house thru the vent. There will always be water in the back bottom of unit but it should not be a lot of water. If you notice this, then you can always remove the drain plug to remove the water. Thank you, Haier America
