QuestionThe kettle wobbles on the base. Otherwise works well. Should it be clicking into place? Am I doing something wrong? No mention of this in the instructions. Seems very unsafe to wobble and boil. Jo

QuestionI bought my kettle from Walmart and it didn’t come with instructions. (Not sure if it’s supposed to) I was wondering if the kettle and the base is supposed to click when they connect. It seems very loose to the base.

QuestionAre the electric bases for the hamilton beach kettles interchangeable?? I have a model 41027 kettle and lost the base when we moved into our new house. The base is a k61. I have found several bases for sale on ebay, but none of the electric bases are K61.

QuestionDoes this kettle keep the water hot, or does it just turn off and let the water cool down. Is there a way to keep it hot? Do you just keep pushing the tab down when it pops up to keep the water hot?

- Answer Yes, use a good quality thermos bottle to keep the water hot. If it doesn’t stay hot enough for you then at least it will be faster to re-heat (and save a few watts).

QuestionI just opened the box to a 1.8 L model. The lid is quite difficult to open and I feel like I'm forcing it. Am I missing a button or latch of some kind? obvious
