- Answer Thank you for your question. For 40 cups of water being used, 2-21/2 cups of coffee will need to be used. A water to coffee ratio sheet will be provided in the use and care guide for this appliance.

- Answer Thank you for your question. We would recommend that the amount of ground coffee is increased. Also, we would recommend that you use a coarse/ percolator style ground coffee.

QuestionI have a catering company. We are required to make large amounts of coffee (over 100 cups - sometimes twice that). Can we pre-bre coffee put in insulated containers unplug, take to venue, plug back in and keep it warm for several hours?

- Answer Thank you for your question. We would not recommend completing a pre-brew and traveling with the coffee. To reheat coffee, remove Coffee Basket and Stem Assembly. Lock Lid in place and plug in unit; then turn on for 20 to 60 minutes, depending on amount of coffee remaining. Do not reheat if less than 20 cups are left in the Urn.

QuestionIn one of the reviews of this coffee maker, someone mentioned that they have to use a different type of coffee for it (coarse percolator ground). Is this different to the regular ground coffee I buy for my 12 cup drip coffee maker?

- Answer Thank you for your question. For best results, we recommend using a coarser, percolator ground coffee. This prevents the possibility of the grounds overflowing from the basket, which can happen when finer grounds are used.

- Answer You are using too fine of grounds. This isn't intended for a filter. I use the standard drip grind and have no problems.
