Ive made this mistake... It is possible for the lid to close when holder is scewed, but the maker will stop shortley after brewing. Make sure the single serve k-cup holder (grey), is fitted down in the holder properly where it does'nt move left or right. The little finger lip (which allows you to remove the holder), must be facing straight down.
