you need to pull th e gray piece with the puncture devise on it back ,then insert your kcup.slide tray into slot.push down as indicated .this will puncture the side of the kcup.the top also get punctured so the water can run through and out the punctureat the bottom .honestly ,im thinking of liberating my kuerig.it was a whole lot faster and simpler.
