“When the machine is done brewing, is it suppose to make a loud humming noise and then shut off? I need to know if I should return it.”

Well the one we have only makes a brewing sound through the complete cycle, no different noises at the end of the cycle Hope this helps

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.That humming appears to be the pump running for a few extra seconds to make sure it gets all of the water into the grounds. So, while I doubt it's all that great for the long term health of the pump, it does seem to be intentional.
