“Can the coffee maker be turned on without water after the 2hr auto shut-off to warm up the warming plate ? This is different than the HB FAQ where the coffee maker can be shut off then on again to deactivate the 2 hr auto shut off while the unit is on.”

Unfortunately this unit does not auto shut-off after 2hrs if it doesn’t have any water. You will have to remember to shut it off on your last cup or when ever you’re about to leave your home. I have left it ON before and left my home for about 6 hours and of course it does keep heating the plate. Also any left over coffee will just dry up. Other than that this coffee maker works great. Had it over 6 months. If you’re worried about keeping it ON by accident then you’re better off investing a couple more bucks for a auto shut-off. Hope this helps. Thanks.
