A:Answer The hardwire kit connects the camera to a fuse box, this will work in any vehicle, my vehicle is 11 years old, worked just fine. Could you get geek squad to install it? You probably could, but you might want an auto technician to install it. If you want the wires hidden, you will likely have to remove panels on the vehicle. You can safely do this yourself, with the right tools. Keep in mind, if you are going to get a camera that faces out the rear of the van from the rear of the van, you will need two hardwire kits..
I did mine myself. it took some YouTube videos and probably three times as long as it would have taken a mechanic. but it was very satisfying.
