• The Quatro, has four tuners, hence its name. It can record four programs at a time, one per tuner, but it requires a program that is capable i.e the hdhomerun DVR, Emby, Sage Tv or Plex. There are more out there.

• Just set your programs to record. Product assigns the tuners as needed, up to number available.

• If you do not want to purchase the DVR service from HDHomerun, I would recommend installing Plex on a PC connected to the same network as the Connect Quatro and use it as your free DVR service.

• The HDHomeRun Quattro (4) can supply 4 simultaneous streaming channels so if your watching one channel you have 3 left to record.

• You can record one program per tuner at any given time. So if you have a QUATRO, you can record 4 programs at once (if you aren't currently watching any TV). To record 6 programs, you need either a QUATRO and a DUO or two QUATRO devices.
