Using the SiliconDust Quattro with either the SiliconDust DVR service or the Channels DVR service from Fancy Bits (I use this one), you can record OTA broadcasts in HD. The Channels DVR service will also record the SiliconDust Premium TV streaming content. Both of these DVR services require local storage and a paid subscription.

Either a computer or nas device setup on your network that is recording from this tuner. Go to the hdhomerun web page and see their dvr solution. I am currently running that and Plex for my DVR recording and playback. Also cordcutters.com can give you some other solutions. You will also need a compatible smart tv or device to playback your recordings like a android box, fire or apple tv, roku or xbox one. There is a lot of information out there and many different ways to set up a dvr solution. Do your research first. Also, this device does not do hardware transcoding. Only their 2 tuner extend product does. Good luck and happy cordcutting!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you connect an HD Antennae, any OTA HD stations that broadcast and picked up by the tuner will show live content in HD. But you should contact SiliconDust to determine if their DVR add-on will record/replay in full HD. One other note, if you are using the tuner with an Apple TV along side Channels app, it will be the Channels DVR that is recording/replaying and NOT the SiliconDust DVR app.
