You can choose if you would like to run it strictly on 750 watts, strictly on 1500 watts, or set it to alternate between the low and high options in auto mode to use the amount of watts needed to heat the space. Because of this it is less expensive than traditional space heaters. The exact amount would depend on how much energy rates are in your area.
