- Answer If you mean the DVD saved as the standard folder structure to burn discs, no. I transcode mine to M4V - try Handbrake, it's free, on your computer.

QuestionIs there an audio only mode?I like to fall asleep with sound in the background, but no light. Can the display be completely turned off? If not, will dimming the backlight have the same effect as no display? I can lower the brightness and backlight on my current TV but there's still some light.

- Answer Yes, you may set the background to black and the screen can go dim like a PC.

QuestionSearch OptionOn some of the pictures of the Hisense 40 Roku TV, there appears to be a "Search" selection on the home menu, however; when looking at the actual home screen on the TV, there is no selection for a "Search" option. Is this due to faulty Roku software and can it be corrected?

- Answer Yes there is a search option and its actually really nice. 1st of all its location...On the left hand side you will find (from top to bottom) "Home" "Movie Store" "TV Store" "News" "Search" "Streaming Channels" and "Settings". If you select "Search" and then search for a movie, it will show you what streaming service it is on and also what the price is.

QuestionInternet access WIFI vs. LANI'm interested in buying this item but, I have Cable & Internet from same company & the connections for both run through a Modem. Standard cable to TV & a LAN connection to computer for Internet access. My computer has WIFI but, it's turned off due to not needing it because of the LAN wired connection. How can I use the RUKU Internet portion with set-up as described above?

- Answer You need to have a Wifi router or turn on the Wifi on your cable box. This TV doesn't have a wired connection for network available.

QuestionThe floor model at best buy and on this site show a centered shiny base. The product available in the box has2 small base legs . I want the single center base. Is that discontinued?

QuestionHello I'm specifically looking for a smart TV with an Ethernet connection. A wireless connection is useless to me. Does this TV have an RJ-45 port on it?

- Answer On the word of the "HisenseProductExpert" I went into best buy ready to buy it, when low and behold when I look at the TV itself I discover that there's no Ethernet port, I even had the employees look, nothing. this TV does not in fact have an RJ-45 port.

- Answer Use the Roku remote. Press the * on the upper right. It will bring up a menu on ur tv. The 2nd down is "Picture Mode". From there, you can zoom, squeeze, strecth, ect. Whatever you desire. From that menu, you can also change sound prefences.
