“Hello my question is my friend download movies to a hard drive and on my old vizio tv i cant see the movies but he say on his samsung they work usb connection would this tv work????? But some movies would work but others wont even show them on the media”

Are you asking whether the 50H8C can play movies from a USB drive? Depends on what sort of files they are. It played most of the downloaded demo videos that I tried on it. I think that the answer is mostly "yes".
