Hi TonyC. The speaker is not playing true stereo sound because it is a single speaker. Stereophonic sound has to be multi-directional.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was going to get external speakers for this TV when I bought it but wanted to spread out the cost. After getting it home and setting it up the speakers on the TV actually worked really well. I have surround sound with them and I just let it be. See if you can adjust the your sound and get positive results. If so, put your Bose speakers up on Craig's List.
