Answering my own question. When the problem occurred I had my computer connected to the Hisense via the MAC DVI monitor output of my computer's graphic card. This defaults to a 4K level that was causing the weird noises. I switched the connection to the MAC DisplayPort which doesn't do 4K and the noise went away.

Please try performing a factory reset as based on our experience this resolves most common issues. A factory reset can be done by going to Settings>Device Preferences>Reset. The television will then shut off and after coming back on will prompt you to set up the TV like when it was just out of box.
