Where it really matters..... this tv rocks!!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a little bit of a bumpy experience at first when I first bought it. But I'm now very very happy with it. Let me explain...... So I wanted to upgrade my tv that I've had for a few years now already, i had a Seiki 42" non smart Full HD TV (1080p). And I wanted mainly to get one a little larger, so I started checking online for a 55". But I realized that whatever I was seeing, any brand, at any price range. All were now Smart TVs! I didn't really want that at first, but since they are all smart now anyway, I started researching them a little, to see which OS is better, etc. While researching all their different features and options, I realized that the one feature I'd care most about, is the option that some have to use a external USB harddrive for pausing live tv. So I quickly figured that I'll be best off sticking with Android, and confirming that android tvs can be paused with a memory connected. So now I had 2 identical options to choose from. Both are Android tvs, both cost exactly the same price ($349). Both are 55" 4k. 1 is this Hisense, The other is the TLC. So I chose the Hisense..... no idea why really, I just did. But after getting it home, getting it mounted on the wall, hooked up all the cables....... but when I then connected the external harddrive, it would read the the drive just fine, but it would still not allow me to pause live tv. So I called Hisense technical support, she tried to help me "troubleshoot" it for almost a hour. Only to then finally be told by a manager that this model doesn't have this feature! I was SOOOOOO disappointed to hear this!! I thought dang it why oh why didn't I chose the TLC one. That one I know has the pause feature, I just thought since the Hisense is a android too, then it will work too... but as I now found out, that isn't the case here. So after 2 days being sad about it, I figured, hey! I have 14 for return or exchange, so I'm gonna take it back to exchange it for the TLC. So I did..... Took the Hisense off the wall mount, put it back in the box. Shlept it back to Best Buy, and exchanged it for the TLC....... So now I have the TLC mounted, connected, setup, and I'm connecting the External harddrive to it, and indeed it does now give me the pause live TV option. I was really happy with that. So then I connect all my other things to it, and start watching tv on it. But every time I looked up to the TV screen, the picture just didn't look right! Either too dark, or too bright, too bland, wrong color shades, e.t.c e.t.c e.t.c....... I looked up online for a good display settings, but no matter what I tried, the picture just didn't look right. And it was really bugging me! I kept trying to tell myself that it's fine, I'm just nitpicking.... but every time I'd look up.... I'd be very disappointed. After a couple of days, I decided the hell with it. I don't care if I can't pause live tv, but the Hisense was just way better quality picture! So I took back the TLC to Best Buy........ But I felt bad changing so many times. So I told the lady that look, a couple of days ago I returned A Hisense abs exchanged it for this TLC, so maybe check if you still have that one, cause I totally wouldn't mind just taking that one back, cause it works perfectly fine, and that way you won't have to sell it as used. She responded, oh no no, once it enters the system as a return, I can't just take it back........ I said oh well, ok then give me another brand new Hisense then..... and that's what I got. Lol. So, I bought A hisense, exchanged it for TLC, then exchanged that back to Hisense..... And I'm really happy I went back to the Hisense, cause the picture Is just SOOO much better than the TLC! It isn't even close imo! Not even close!!! I never really owned anything from Hisense before, but I'm definitely a fan of them now. This screen has a really high quality picture. It looks amazing. The TLC just looked pathetic in comparison.... I really wanted to write this review because when I was trying to decode between these 2 brands, I had almost nothing to go by. So I'm hoping this might help someone else in my position

Perfect combination of tv and android box!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had read that this was an android tv with google play but didn't realize till I got it home that I could actually program it like my android boxes! Not only can I use this as my main tv with cable, but I hooked up my home security system to it and then programed the android tv box to deliver everything I need wtih just one remote and no extra boxes or wires....love love love it! Hooked up fast and directions were clear and to the point. The picture quality on the movie channels that I downloaded from google play is on point! And unlike some tv's the pic goes from corner to corner so you get the full 55 inch screen....love this feature and since I downloaded a program from google play that amplifies the volume like in a movie theater....all we need is popcorn now! This has 3 hdmi ports with 2 usb and audio in/out capabilites for older hookups....It has the direct cable line and ethernet port....all with a very thin and light tv....would easily hang on the wall but I have mine on it's legs...the remote is as easy as you could ask for with a button for netflix...a button for you tube ..a button for prime...and one for google play! Need a specific movie....hit the microphone and ask for it....easy! My next tv will definitely be and android tv...and even though , "I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion" I will purchase it again for my bedroom!

Quality TV for the Price!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I find this to be a pretty amazing quality TV for the price. All in all, it took me couple of minutes to setup this TV. Initially during software update of the TV there was a slight lag but once the update was complete, I didn’t notice any lags. The picture and sound quality is pretty amazing compared to the cost of the TV. I placed this TV in my husband’s office as he was using a 24” TV to play his games. Even for basic gaming it’s a decent TV. He was able to play COD on this TV with pretty decent graphics and refresh rate. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion. This is what I have found while using this TV. All my app including YouTube, Netflix and amazon prime video were available and only took me few clicks to login using my Android Phone. There are some really great smart features included in this TV like Google Assistant, as well as Alexa compatible. I have used built in Chromecast which works without any lags or delays. The auto adjust feature for sound and video works pretty well. The auto adjust feature adjust picture or sound quality according to what you are viewing, but sometimes you might have to adjust yourself as well. The smart remote gives you an option to select Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube or Google Play directly from the remote. There is also a Parental control with the TV but because it’s in my husband’s office we don’t have it set up. The design is pretty slim and there is hardly any bezel around the screen. The design of the base goes pretty well with the sleek design of the TV. The 3 HDMI ports make is easy to connect multiple devices rather than using a HDMI hub. There also a composite port to connect old devices. It would have been nice to have a separate power cord rather than built in, so it could be switch with a longer cord. Overall, it is a pretty decent quality TV! I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.

Worth your coin
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like it, been with this tv 58” for like 6-7 months. Good picture, excellent sound, easy to use, easy to download apps. I cut my spectrum bill and purchase for this TV Netflix, hulu, starz, pantaya, disney & got free air channels and still spend less money that when i had that service. My brother told me last week he got a tv like mine and said he likes the free roku channels. For me that was a surprise i didn’t even know roku was giving a free service i went and check and yup they got free channels, i have not been able to explore them because of all the apps i bought, but sure is nice to know that service is free in case things change for me in the future and i can’t effort all those paid apps. Anyway this is a good tv if you think $300 is all right.

In Love With This TV!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.n!! The entire TV is thin and lightweight, so light that we decided to hang it up on the wall. It is currently in my mom's room but my kids and I are always in there watching tv now. Setting up was really quick and easy. It's got beautiful picture quality, the software on this TV is fast and does everything I need and more. I am a huge Android user and always cast videos onto our TVs, but with this Hisense Smart TV, I don't even have to cast from my phone, the apps I normally use are already on there or can be easily downloaded from the TV: Youtube, PBS Kids, Netflix are some of my top apps I stream. It's so easy to use, my 4 year old has been surfing the TV with the remote all by himself. It has been a couple of weeks and we have experienced one time where the TV froze and went to a "Do you want to power off?" screen where we couldn't power it off from the remote or the TV button. This was easily solved with a good ol' plug/unplug from the outlet. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.

After 3 yrs, picture is dead- just vertical lines
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this March of 2021. After 3 1½ yrs, it stopped showing picture. Only dark screen w/vertical lines depending on which channel is playing. You can hear sound, just no picture! I e even tried the input, but it won't display options; cant get to a menu because it can't display sny type of picture! And guess when the warranty ran out, March of 2023! This is September! My husband said the last few months, every now & then when it turned on in early morning, hed have to turn it off & try again because nothing showed up for a minute, but then when he tried again it was all fine for a while & forgot about it. So, maybe it was just about to stop a few months ago - humm? I will reach out to see if anyone from company or Best Buy can help me, but not counting on it. Won't be buying this brand again! 3 years - AH! Not worth it!

Good tv for the $$$
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tv is okay. the picture and sound are both great. The remote is a little bit sketchy, it won't work unless its pointing directly at the tv. Sometimes it times out and shuts itself off and other times it scrolls through Screensaver. Neither is really a problem I just wish it was consistent.
