“I found my 65" TV a bit too close viewing from 9 ft away. Is there a way or app to make the TV emulate 55" or 50" viewing? In other way I would like to scale down display dimension instead of using full screen? Thank you.”

You can cycle through some display settings like wide view or 16:9, but you can not unilaterally shrink the screen to display a smaller area.
