“I have a soundbar connected thru hdmi arc and I'm having trouble getting any sound output through my soundbar when I use the tv's apps. Every other sound output works fine, just the apps ie. Netflix, Disney+, Prime video etc... Anyone have a solution?”

Make sure you have audio on best available not specific. If it's not available it will not play. That could be set up on your tv/firestick/roku player.

In the advance settings I had the audio tuned for Dolby Digital Plus output and I guess apps only produce sound through the Dolby Digital or PCM setting. It could be the sound bar, but DD+ works on every other input, so I'm thinking it's the apps function.
