“Will this tv stream hdr content from its built in apps like Netflix or will it only play HDR from the hdmi ports from a HDR device like the others models have to due to the firmware patch?”

• This built in APPs are not streaming HDR content at this time. They are only streaming 4k. The upscaling however and the color reproduction is so good that if you find a 4k HDR video on youtube it will still look very vivid and detailed.

• I had the 55" version and ended up returning it because the firmware patch did enable HDR for the set but the built in apps have not been updated for HDR. So you'd need an external source like an Xbox One S to play the HDR content. It was a shame because the TV was quite nice esp for the price.

• You must use HDMI port 3 or 4 for HDR content! HDMI 1 and 2 will support 4K but not HDR.
