No dead pixels, and for it being in a darkroom I thought the TV turned off there for a minute because the dark in the TV is so great. It has the truest black I've ever seen in a TV. I highly recommended it

The 65H9F is capable of providing up to 1,000 nits of brightness, and everyone's eyes are different, but its equipped with several picture modes for you to use to adjust the picture best to the room, as well as manual brightness controls if you want to really customize the viewing experience to your eyes! As for your 2nd question, no, we do not have any known issues with this model involving any dead pixels.

My tv has not had any dead pixels, BUT the tv seems very fragile. (I say that because my first purchase came via Amazon and the tv was cracked like crazy when I opened it. UPS rang my doorbell and the tv was just sitting on the porch with the single UPS guy just about to get back to his truck. Maybe it broke coming from China, but I only know it was NOT team lifted getting to my porch.) Ok, thanks for listening. I feel better now. ;)
