Is it recommended to have a sound bar with this TV or is it good on its own? null

The Audio on this TV is Good. But a Soundbar makes any and all TVs sound Better.

It’s good on its own, but as all TV’s today, all will benefit from modern sound bar.

Good either way.  Having a sound bar gives you more of a theater sound.

TV Sound is OK. I use the Vizio 5.1.2 Soundbar. Watching movies on this TV is fantastic.

I bought a 65U8H and a 55U7H and they both have very robust Atmos & DTS sound without any buzzing or rattling like my previous TV. I also use a quality headset & thick curtains for noise cancelling whenever there's too much noise coming from the street. A small bluetooth speaker might be useful if you want to listen to late night or morning shows without waking the dead or fiddling with adjustments on the TV
