“Two questions: I heard the U8K drops the HDMI signal, especially when using an HDMI splitter. Has this been a problem for anyone? I use an HDMI splitter to hook up multiple gane consoles. Also, have people run into dirty screen effect with the U8K?”

I am unable to answer the 1st question but yes unfortunately this tv does have dirty screen effect. It has definite vertical bands that can be seen in dark scenes.

I spoke with my son who is an avid gamer and he said it isn't much of a deal in that environment. If you split your source you are likely to suffer signal degradation unless you insert a device too boost said signal.
