No, I don't use the Google interface at all. I use an Xbox and an Apple TV. When I turn on the Apple TV, it automatically turns the TV on and puts it on the correct input. So I never see the google tv part ever. AFter the initial setup, I disconnected the wifi on the tv and haven't used it since.
