A:AnswerBlacks are great and the brightness is really too bright. I had to turn it down. The settings are a challenge to get right. The setting also seem to change on their own. Getting HDR to work with my XbobX was a challenge as well. Their Tech support does not seem to know anything beyond what your average house wife would know. I had to manually update the TV to get HDR to work. Screen would just go black switching to or from HDR. But once I got it to work it has been working ok for two months now. Clarity is good and sharpness is good as well. This is my first 4K TV so maybe I am comparing Apples to Oranges here but RRR on Netflix was mind-blowing. That was the first 4K show we watched and my wife looked over at me and said the TV was worth it! I would say this TV is the best of the CHEAP ones! Better TVs out there but not at this price!!

It was on stock one day i was going to buy it but i waited till the next day because the wife was at work and i needed to check with her first and the next day its sold out. So i check everyday and its finally back on stock next week so i bought mine. I have it ship to a store near me and got my tv in 2 day.

They state that there has been some confusion even within Hisense’s customer service and marketing departments, and wrong information has been disseminated regarding the panel type. But Hisense’s upper management and engineers confirmed that all three sizes of the U8H models released in USA have VA panels.
And after seeing the contrast and black level achieved on my 75” model, there is no way this is an IPS (in-plane switching) panel.

A:AnswerThe answer from Hisense Product Expert is confirmed to be wrong. I have seen multiple reviews confirming and verifying the U8H does NOT have a "True 10-Bit" or "True 12-Bit" Panel. Instead, the U8H uses the watered down technology called "8-Bit plus FRC" that "simulates" a "10-Bit Panel." This "simulation" is what causes the severe problems with "Posterization" and "Bandwidth" that the U8H are confirmed to have.
A:AnswerAs of right now, March 10, 2023, this issue has not been fixed. Their updates have fixed the issue with gaming resolution being cut in half but they have done ZERO for the posterization or color banding. I just got the N0212 update about 4 days ago and installed it, still have color banding and a bit of posterization. I honestly don't think they can fix it because this is a processor problem. They make their own CPU's in house so I think they dropped the ball on this one by not making it powerful enough.
