Hi PaulD, Thank you for your interest in the Hisense 98QD5QG. Technically, both cords can work with this TV. However, the 14 AWG/15A/125v cord is better because it's thicker (lower gauge) and handles more current safely (15A vs.10A) preventing overheating.
