I am sure this unit will be effective, provided you make the room as much as possible insulated.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Probably would work in humidity of less than 80% to knock off about 10-15°F. Would not expect it to keep up with monsoons/ high humidity and volume greater than 600sqft.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you live in a dry area I would recommend taking a look at evaporative air coolers. Evaporative Air Coolers are ideal for dry climates with humidity of less than 60%. They also require windows to be open for cross ventilation to allow the warm and cool air to circulate. Air Coolers are an upgrade from a traditional fan. Normal fans use fan blades to circulate air around the room without offering added cooling. Air Coolers use the natural processes of water evaporation to cool incoming hot air and use a powerful fan to evenly distribute the newly cooled air. The temperature of dry air can drop significantly when liquid water transforms to water vapour through evaporation. Imagine the feeling you get from a breeze flowing across a lake or the refreshing cool air you feel near a waterfall - Evaporative coolers cool the air through water evaporation and thus the cooling effect is best when the relative humidity is low (under 60%).
