Does this unit work with a verticle window opening? null

IF you mean a side to side slider, then yes as long as it is not too tall, (i.e. ~< 30" opening)

absolutely! You may need to add an extension to the insert that is included with the unit if the vertical height is greater than about 3 feet but that is easily done with a little cardboard or plywood and some duct tape.

It will, if the casement window is not too tall. I am going to cut a piece of wood to try it in a sliding door in my Man Room also. If your vertical window is tall use wood and a piece of plastic to extend it.

Yes, that is how I am using it. You just have to add some filler to whatever open space is left at the top (I used some of the styrofoam shipping material that the unit came in). Also, I put a small board diagonally across the non-opening window to hold the vent in place.
