- Answer Hello, thank you for your inquiry. We recommend setting your unit to the lowest temperature setting to see if the unit's compressor comes on. If you do not get a response from the compressor, we recommend filing a warranty claim if your unit is still under the manufacture warranty.

QuestionAre longer hoses and better connectors needed to install this Honeywell Portable AC into a window? The hoses maybe 4 feet, the connectors are of a sadistic screwy design and keep popping off and undo the other connectors. It won't twist right 4 ways.

- Answer Fully extended about 3ft if you plan on installing on a sliding window prepare to get creative also extensions and coupler are cheapest through Amazon
