• If you are using it for heat in a high humidity area, you almost need to permanently attach a flexible hose to it and have it drain outside. otherwise it will need to have the tank drained several times daily.

• I am Not sure, it does have a Thermostat on it, So once it Gets to the desired Level of Heat or Cool, it shuts off till it Drops Below that level and kicks on, if your Unit is NOT Coming back on, there is an issue and I would call best buy and have them look it over!
