“I’m confused about the filters. When you buy it, can the unit be used right away? Are the necessary filters in the box? What is this “optional “filter everyone mentions? Thank you”

I just purchased this unit and everything you need is in the box! There are extra filters you can purchase to enhance the unit, so if you have a smoker or lets say you cook a lot and have a lot of cooking odors, you can buy the corresponding extra filter to help with those issues but you don't have to have them to use the unit

These filters are necessary for the unit to function and remove particles from the air. These must be in the unit at all times when it is running. However, the Optional S filters can be used in addition to the other types of filters. These S filters are made to specifically remove odors and VOCs related to specific activities or areas from the air. These optional filters are purchased separately, and we advise only using the optional filters on an "As Needed" basis. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The unit comes with 3 hepa filters the optional is prob the carbon filter which is a slim piece of carbon being counted as filter 4 option! Which it also has inside, You just put the filters back in place after removing the plastic and turn it on :)
