I have a 500 square foot unit in my living room and at low level it is no problem for sound on the tv. Note: I do have surround sound but do not run it loud.

Each of the 4 settings has their own sound level, however, on most settings this unit is very unobtrusive and should not interfere with anything else in the same room. The first two levels are fine, but allergen and Turbo are very loud. There is a reason that this information is not published. Apparently it is a Honeywell thing.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Overall the unit is not too noisy for us. We have a two bedroom apartment and use the unit it the living area and sometimes we use it one of the bedrooms. The noise it makes is unobtrusive and really not distracting at all.
