“After owning the HPA5300 for a week and comparing to the HPA300 I have found the motor is considerably louder in the HPA5300 on low. Is it normal to hear the motor itself running and creating a rattle noise on low?”

I have the same model with the same noise. It sounds like a bunch of crickets. Lots of people have reported this on other sites. A large percentage of these units are doing this.
