Lin, This air filter can not emit Ozone. Any air purifier that is AHAM (Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers) Verifide means that it has been independently tested to ensure its efficiency in reducing smoke, dust and pollen in the suggested room size. The AHAM assigns a CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) Rating that measures the volume of filtered air delivered by an air cleaner. The Honeywell HPA5300 InSight™ HEPA Air Purifier received the following CADR Rating: 4.8 Air changes per hour in a 500 sq. ft. room Tobacco Smoke: 323 Dust: 335 Pollen: 335 Hope that Helps, Don PS, love this air filter, the air in my living room feels cleaner.
