• Thank you for your inquiry. This unit is meant to be used twenty four hours per day, seven days a week to keep your air clean. It will not short circuits when used according to the instructions. • We run ours continually because we wan the unit to stay ahead of any contaminants, especially with our German Shepherd running through the house all day.
