Thank you for your inquiry. The VOC sensor is only for VOCs, not particulates. This part is not modular and is not made to be replaced. Doing so can damage the unit and will void the warranty. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to contact our consumer relations team by emailing us at [email protected]. Thank you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I wouldn't purchase this air purifier for the auto sensing. Auto doesn't adjust to dust or pollen changes in the house, only when you spray hairspray or other VOC's. Unless you are in a hair salon, if you are looking for an air purifier that actually purifies and keeps your house clear based on the particles or VOC's in the air I would look for a different model.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I asked about sensor MODULARITY and END USER SERVICEABLILITY. I have no intention or inclination to void my warranty. But how UNFORTUNATE that product designers chose not to include *particulate* detection along w/ VOC detection & how UNFORTUNATE that those same designers chose not to make the default AQ sensor *non-upgradeable* w/ a modular Honeywell part. When ever the VOC sensor fails, remediation requires complete unit replacement (& what, with a refurb?), vs swapping a modular part. Unfortunate, unfortunate, unfortunate... Thanks for clarifying.
