Thank you for your inquiry. The life of the VOC sensor is the same as the life of the unit. The sensor should not need to be cleaned regularly, only if something touches it or if you feel it may need to be cleaned. To clean the sensor, use a small cotton swab dampened, but not dripping, with isopropyl alcohol to clean any residue off the sensor. Then let the sensor dry for at least 15 minutes before using it.
