- Answer I think it would be helpful as long as you have the unit blowing directly onto you. I use it inside my VERY hot home with vaulted ceilings and it doesn't really cool my room, but it keeps ME cool when I sit by it.

QuestionDo I have to use the window vent/drain or can I just empty it daily? I am trying to avoid needing a window....

- Answer The window isn't for draining liquid. The window is to vent the very hot air that exhausts out the back of the unit. If you don't vent the unit, you'll be heating your home with super hot air as fast you'll be trying to cool it. I guess you could do that, but I don't know how effective it would be. Good luck :)

This unit can be moved from one room to another, by disconnecting the hose and the window bracket, and reattaching the window venting kit to the other window.
