It will help remove particles from the air, and will also remove some VOCs and Odors, but if you are concerned with Carbon Monoxide, this unit is not rated to remove Carbon Monoxide. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I suspect not. Instructions say not to use it in damp areas like bathroom or laundry area, and that's just water vapor. With cooking oils, grease, etc in the air it would only be worse for the unit. The filters are not washable. Examine what range hoods use to capture grease and look for something with those in it.

Even though there's ventilation in my apartment I find it's not adequate so I tend to move the Honeywell air filter and face it towards the kitchen and turn on the "Turbo" setting. Once you're done cooking, you can revert to your regular setting.
