“Are the models HPA300 and HPA300VP the same machine? I know the SKU numbers are different but what about the actual machine? There seems to be quite a bit of confusion on this matter. Thank you.”

VP stands for "value pack" and it was a no-brainer to choose this one, since it was cheaper when I purchased mine, and the box includes 4 pre-filters with the HEPA array, so you are good for a year with the "VP" version.
