I have had two of this type humidifier. Both make a 'trickle trickle' sound as it is running. Have you heard the same?
I do not like this so have returned both.

Filter was clogged.

Mine does not do the "trickle" sound you describe. After many hours it makes a kind of bullfrog gargle, which I find I don't mind. Doesn't do it often—maybe once an hour, and sometimes not at all.

Yes this humidifier makes a dripping noise and it is absolutely maddening but the humidifier works well otherwise

Mine did when I first started it but it was not loud after a little bit. Did not bother me in my bed room. Sounds like they all do it.
