Questionhow much detergent are you supposed to put in ? Not the whole bottle Im thinking. I see that people used other mixtures but Im still not sure how much to use .

- Answer You fill the solution compartment with soap, and the Water compartment with hot water, and it dispenses by itself. Also put a couple table spoons of Table salt in the Dirty Water receiver to keep the suds down. Salt is a lot cheaper than the defoamer solution.

- Answer We recommend vacuuming prior to using the Power Scrub and other carpet deep cleaners. While they do have suction like a vacuum, carpet cleaners are designed to pull up wet messes, stains, water and solution and is not a replacement for regular vacuuming. Thanks, Joseph - The Hoover Team

- Answer It needs water to keep the dust down, so no on dry carpet. I use mine on the kitchen tile, you have to mop up extra water around edges.

- Answer I used very hot water along with the solution that came with the cleaner. My results were fantastic. I cleaned first then rinsed. However, after I ran out of the cleaning solution the machine still cleaned with just hot water. I guess the brushes were really doing their job.

- Answer Just make sure when re-attaching the solution/water container and dirty water container every slot and fastener are sealed properly or the machine won't work.

- Answer Yes, it dries the carpet, in the sense that it sucks up all liquid water. You can tell when water is being sucked up by observing the foam in the transparent top plate. Thar said, the carpet is still damp, much like clothes after spin dry in a washer. Full drying occurs by evaporation in an hour or two. Best to stay off the carpet and arrange good ventilation during that time.

- Answer I have been using mine on tile and smooth painted concrete floors for several years. It works great! I tried the squeegee attachment (a $14 separate purchase) but found it popped off easily and didn't really make much of a difference in suction. This works wayyy better than the spin scrubs and similars. I have 16 cats...and clean floors.

- Answer Yes I would recommend bring it Int he house to warm at house temp. Do not leave solution un machine as that can breakdown any product.

However, shag carpet, with any carpet cleaner, can get matted down and twisted by the brushes. - Answer Thank you for your question! Is this a question for the Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe Carpet Upright Deep Cleaner? The Power Scrub Deluxe does not have a ONEPWR model, but I would be happy to help answer any question about a Hoover or ONEPWR model, all I need is the model number which can be found on the data plate or on the back of the cleaner. If this is for the Power Scrub Deluxe, for any model the solution/clean water tank can be removed by pushing down the button on the handle and unlatching from the pole. Both the auto-mix tank and the single tank versions of the Power Scrub Deluxe do not have a solution tank that can separate from the clean water tank. Thanks, Joseph- The Hoover Team
