“how good is this at preventing jams from clumps of dog hair? my last vacuum would often jam in the area where the dog hair would go from the hose to the container”

Dog hair ... uh, no dog .... but for CAT HAIR ....works GREAT!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We have 3 large dogs (including one with 4-6" long hair) who shed A LOT and we've had ZERO problems with clogging. This thing has great suction. The waste canister is super easy to get off, dump and get back on, so emptying it frequently is less of a pain. If you have shedding dogs and have to vacuum multiple times a week, I'd highly recommend this model.

For optimum performance we recommend emptying the canister and cleaning off the filter after each use. This will help to keep a clear air path and prevent buildup.
