My house is mostly wood floors and it does a great job on them. What carpet I do have is real short and it does okay on that. I bought it mainly for the wood. Switching is easy.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It works excellently on both, and there's a knob on the front that swivels so it's extremely easy to switch between settings, my house has bamboo floors as well as carpet and it's an excellent vacuum on both floor surfaces

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The WindTunnel 2 Bagless Upright works great on carpet, but if you want a bagless upright that works great on bare floors, too, check out the WindTunnel 3 Pro: http://bit.ly/1iTDkxW.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Works great on all floor surfaces with a click of a foot mechanism to change surface levels. I have wood, Saltillo tile and carpet surfaces.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. Works great on both. I don't even switch settings just leave it on medium setting for all.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I imagine it would. We use it in our kitchen and powder bath that is linoleum and it works great. The lowest setting to the floor still sucks up what you need it to. The hose attachment gets under the counters and behind the toilet easily and it sucks up food and hair and dirt with ease. Just be sure to fully empty and clean it!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
