• I really not recommend this one to use it on hardwood floor, you gonna have scratches, you need to buy different one whit special attachments, one is for hardwood floors or tile, usually they are round vacuums (oval), that’s the best ones for hardwood floors

• It DOES! Works well too. We have every kind of flooring known to man (heavy carpet, vinyl, cement, area rugs) This unit has a variable selection that meets every demand. Very good vac all around.

• There is a height adjustment, you can do both and it cleans very well either on carpet or on hardwood.
