    • Answer I have never had to fully recharge mine, but from less then 50% it took about an hour. I've never watched it too closely. The on/off button serves as a battery strength indicator, changing colors at 70% left and 30% left. I really like this flashlight, It is powerful, compact and easy to stick in a pants or jacket pocket. Very handy item.

    • Answer The brightness is not adjustable and is very strong. With the diffuser on, the brightness is softened and the flashlight serves more like a small lamp. We've used it a couple times during power outages. It provides adequate light for a small room like a kitchen or bedroom in an emergency. Very handy item, I like to use it when taking the dog out at night.
