Hi coupe1942, thanks for your question! We're finding that your older model is a countertop/optional built in model. An over the range microwave would not make for a good replacement as they have different installation styles. The model that would make for the best replacement would be the following: PEM31SFSS. It does look like you will need to alter your cutout space a bit. So we would recommend reaching out to a cabinet professional and showing them the cutout dimensions for this unit. Those cutout dimensions can be found in the Quick Specs of this new model. If you're wanting to build this unit into surrounding cabinetry, these are the two trim kits that are associated with this unit: JX827SFSS and JX830SFSS. We hope that this helps! Stay safe. -Michael
