Thanks for taking a moment to reach out to us about this! Current appliances have a data port (like an RJ jack or ethernet port) that allows the appliance to be tested or serviced more easily. This port is used by GE Appliances factory technicians to plug in their diagnostic equipment when needed. This port is on the back of the dryer.
